The boars have smelled the truffle store. They come down the road in waves, and the only thing between them and it is the pigs you put there.
Build a pig beside the road and it defends the stretch it can reach. Every boar you stop pays you. Spend that on more pigs, or on making the ones you have better. Forty waves. The Boarlord arrives at twenty β and brings a friend at forty.
Boars walk it from the gate to the store. They never leave it and they never turn back. You cannot build on the road β only on the grass beside it.
A hit only ever takes off what gets through the hide, and every hit gets at least a little through. Against a plated boar, one big hit beats four small ones β which is what a cannon pig is for, and what upgrading is for.
Every boar you stop pays a coin or two, and finishing a wave pays a bonus. Click a pig you have already built to make it better: further, faster, harder. Each step up costs more than the last.
Ten truffles. A boar that reaches the store takes one and goes home. Lose all ten and the round is over β so a boar that gets through is not the end, but it is not free. Coins are tight on purpose: a banker pig early, or a truffle farm, changes the whole game.
Mouse: click a patch of grass, pick a pig, click again to place it. Click a pig you own to open its upgrades, choose what it aims at, or sell it. Phone: the same, by tapping. Keyboard: 1β7 pick a pig, Space starts the next wave early for a bonus, Esc pauses, and , . change what a chosen pig aims at.
Every pig has three upgrade paths of four steps. You may open two of them, and only one may go past the second step β so a slinger built for damage and a slinger built for speed are genuinely different pigs. A pig's three numbers, like 4-2-0, say how far it has gone down each.
A new pig shoots at the boar first in the queue β the one nearest the store. You can tell it to take the last one instead, the strongest one it can reach, or simply the closest. A sniper set to strongest spends its whole time on great hogs and never wastes a shot on a runner.
Click a patch of grass beside the road, then choose a pig.
You may open two of the three paths on a pig, and only one of those may go past the second step. Choose what this pig is for.
